Class of 2013

On Saturday, December 14, 2013 Chad graduated from Lamar University. He graduated with a chemistry degree and minor in spanish. I am so proud of him. He has worked so hard for this, for so long. He has had 4 yrs worth of nights staying up until 2 am studying every single night. That is true dedication. I hate to say this is only his half way mark, but seeing everything he's done so far I know the rest will fly by and be a breeze. I am so thankful to have such an amazing husband to love and support us. He not only studies his butt off but also helps raise a family at the same time. He is an amazing father and husband and I couldn't ask for anything more.  I am scared to death to move off next week but I know with him by my side we can get through anything.

I have more pictures, Unfortunately they are on a computer that is packed in a box.. I will add them eventually

Christmas 2013 and Our BIG Move!!

I absolutley can not believe Christmas is just two weeks away! Where has time gone!? We have been so crazy busy with work and packing we have barley focused on the holidays. Payton is loving this time of the year.. He keeps talking about Santa and how he's been a good boy haha. He loved helping each person put up their tree, and also loved helping Grandma make christmas cookies!

My sweet boy all happy to do a days shopping with Mommy!

I really wanted to try and get a good photo of the three of us
dressed up after church one day..But once again this is the best ya
get with a two yr old! haha

Payton is really starting to voice what he likes and show interest in
certain things. Right now it seems to be Elmo and Henry Hugglemonster..
He LOVES wearing his Elmo jammies his Aunt Peppy got him while sleeping
with his Elmo doll. He was so excited to go to bed.

He was a great helper putting up the trees. Or maybe he was
just great at taking everything off the tree while you put it back on.
Never the less it was cute and he has fun! My Mom would kill me if she saw this picture
but it's the only one I got of the three of us!

For Thanksgiving Ashleigh (SIL) Mom Sims (MIL) and I
made Christmas wreaths! We had so much fun and theirs turned out so
much better and modern than mine. lol

Payton could see when his Grandma out up the tree all the way from the up stairs
window. He looked out and said "Ew Mommy pretty lights!! Let's go see!!"
haha.

Well.. As you know Chad got accepted into Pharmacy School in West Virginia.
We had originally planned to move at the end of May 2014 since school wouldn't
be starting until Aug 2014. When we made our trip there for the interview in Sept
I went ahead and dropped off resumes at all the surrounding Kroger's just
to get my name in the air. Well on November 5th I got a phone call asking if
we were planning to come up anytime soon cause they were looking for
a full time tech. I politely responded with no we didn't plan to move until May.
He then added it was full time morning shifts with no weekends....
I stuttered and said let me talk to my husband and call ya back lol.
After talking it over we realized this was something we just couldn't pass up..
If I declined this position and moved in May and no one was needed I
would be stuck working late nights and weekend. With Payton so small and no family
around thats the last thing I wanted.
SOO.. here we are packing and leaving in just 14 short days.. The day after Christmas (weather permitted of course ): we will be heading out. It looks like everything is set to go from here!
We never realized how much junk we have! This is roughly 70 boxes packed with stuff
and that isn't even half our stuff... ugh I have definitely figured out moving is so exhausting.

This is our town house we are renting. We are so excited and so proud of it,
being our first real home together. It is 3 br/2.5 bth with 1 car garage. Not huge for most,
but ginormous for us..

This is all the pictures I have for now, but don't worry there will be more to come!

Starting from scratch..

Ok so, I know I was doing bad on keeping up with my blog last time but that actually isn't entirely my fault. Apparently my google account either got hacked or there was a glitch because all of the sudden I could no longer log into my account. Soo I just started from scratch. I haven't made a blog since July and there is wayy to much to include and post on since then, so I will just give you the highlights.

In early September Chad received an email for an invitation for
interview at the Charleston University School of Pharmacy in Charleston, Wv.
We were super excited but very nervous at the same time. I really don't know all the details to why Chad chose this school to apply to but it really seems like a great school! Anyway, So the third week in Sept we took a mini-vaca to the not so small town of Charleston, Wv. And let me just say it was a VERY long drive! lol.

We were only there three days so we pretty much did
nothing but look for jobs and housing. But it was still a very fun adventure!
And it was so beautiful up there!
The last day we were there Chad set out for his interview.
He cleans up very nice if I might add(:

About two weeks after the interview, Chad received a phone call
from the admissions office, extending the invitation to attend the school.
I am pretty sure this was on the top ten list of his happiest moments. I am so beyond proud of him.
He has worked so hard for so many years for this and he deserves every bit of it!

After getting over the excitement of the acceptance, we started
planning for Payton Man's second birthday. He wanted Elmo, so of course that's
what he got! (: We had a great turn out and he had a ton of fun! I really
can't believe my (not so) baby boy is already TWO! I mean really??
He has progressed so much within the last month. He is speaking full sentences now.
He knows all his letters, numbers, colors, shapes and can count to 30!
I'm telling you he's a genius. (not bragging or anything lol ;)

These were Payton's "Two Year" photos done by a not so
professional photographer -aka me. They turned out pretty cute to be free though!

After his birthday came fall/halloween.
Here is the best pumpkin patch photo we could get..
If you didn't know two year olds are awesome at looking at the camera. lol

This year I let Payton pick out his own costume and he wanted
to be Jake, from "Jake and the Neverland Pirates." Well the official Jake
costume was like 40 bucks and this one was 10. But he didn't know
any different haha. Shh.. Anyway, He had a blast, we went to the Trunker-Treat at the local
LDS church where he ran and played for hours hyped up on sugar. Let's just
say that only happens once a year. haha

So after Halloween nothing exciting happened until around Thanksgiving
when my mother-in-law was baptized. The weekend before Thanksgiving she joined the
Church of Latter-day Saints. She had a HUGE support group and everyone was so excited for her.
Then we spent the rest of the week with company. Payton had a blast with all the kiddos. There was 7 kids (I think) under the age of like 6. Man it was a little crazy haha.

Up next I'll update you on our moving plans and Christmas time! Only 14 more days until our big move!!
