Our Exciting News!!!

Chad and I are thrilled to announce our exciting news to everyone! Our new little addition will be arriving March 2015! Payton is so excited to have a new little sister or brother. Though he will tell you its going to be a boy not a girl.. haha. guess well see if he's right!

We've already had our first ultrasound and the baby is growing great and has a heartbeat of 189! Thats way higher than Paytons so i guess we will see who is right, Payton or the old wives tales. Word is, if the baby has a high heartbeat its a girl. We will see.

Now we are at 10 weeks. My next appt isn't until the last day of this month and we will find out the gender in just 5 weeks on Oct 14th!!! I have been trying to be better this time by taking belly pics every week. I did ok with Payton but only took about one a month. But I love comparing. Here is me (left) at 10 weeks with baby #2 and at 12 weeks with Payton. looks like ill be following very closely. Probably another big Sims baby in there ;)

Ending our Summer.

One thing we have realized since moving to the east coast is that summer is definitely the shortest season. We only have about 3 good months of nice warm weather. Especially since we had our last snow fall mid May this year. Its now beginning of Sept and its nice a cool outside. Anyway, I seemed to have lost some of my photos from our vacation this summer from switching phones. But we had an awesome summer. After my parents left in June we spent the next month driving From West Virgina to Minnesota (13 hours), then from Minnesota to Texas (22 hours), then finally from Texas back home to West Virginia (19 hours). It was quiet the road trip and Chad was a great trooper. We had so much fun.
We started in Minnesota with Chads parents and sister and her family. We had a blast and Payton sure loved to play with her fun 3 kiddos. It felt just like home (WV) since most of the time we were there it was chilly. We did have a beautiful warm day at the okaboji parade. The kids had SO much fun catching all the candy!
Of course heading home to Texas is always nice. We love it here in WV, but Texas will always be home. It was so nice just hanging out at the house playing with the kitties. And we sure missed everyone. Between all Payton's grandparents and great-grandparents he sure is spoiled. We are so blessed to have an amazing family who loves Payton so much. We even had a great day at the lake letting Payton swim and chase all the little fishes. It was such a great month.
Finally heading back here we finished off our few short weeks we had left of summer.

Payton loves his daddy swimming with him!

Some Saturdays when its nice outside the boys play basketball
outside at the park. So nice because Payton loves to play at the park with his best friend
Joanna. We are so thankful to have made such good friends here!

In the mean time Chads been giving Payton driving lessons.

Here we promised Payton we would take him to Chuck-E-Cheese.
He was so excited..then fell asleep half way there.

But he still won some hot wheels. Which made his day.
This kid is obsessed with hot wheels. Seriously thinks he needs
one every single trip to walmart. He now has everyone they sell.

And he knows what each one is. And he corrects me
every time I'm wrong...

Chad had to get back to school early august and it just broke
Payton's heart. He really loved spending these last 6 mo with
his great daddy.

One week we got all the kids together and took them to the park
to feed the ducks. They were so cute. and had so much fun.

I was telling Chad the other day, when living in Texas I hated summer and loved winter. I mean come on winter there was what? Maybe 50s and 60s? Such nice weather. But now living on the East coast its so miserable during the winter. I love love love summer. haha. Who would look forward to 6 months of being trapped in a house avoiding -5 degree weather. These next few months are going to be beautiful though. I heard fall is incredible here.
