On the second night at my Granny's house we all ended up matching by accident!
I mean how likely is it for three guys to show up wearing the EXACT same shirt and all the wives to be in A&M wear!! It was definitely a kodak moment!
While there my mom and I decided we were in much need of
a girls day out. I missed my Mom so much it was so good to spend
quality time together.. (and hey who doesn't love getting pampered!)
Payton loved his traditional dinner at Great Grandma and Grandpa
Sims. He knows he can always count on GG for a good meal!
Payton missed everyone so much.. He asks for his grandparents all the time.
Its so hard to explain to a two yr old that we moved away when
he is used to seeing them every day.
Have I mentioned how great Payton is in the car? I mean
two days in a car and he's still this happy! We are truly blessed with a great little
boy!
If you haven't been watching the news, we have gotten a ton of snow here!!
As of last week we reached almost two FEET! By far the most snow I have ever
seen and hopefully ever will! Snow is so gorgeous but such a hassle! I won't even get
into our terrifying story of E braking down our crazy steep hill. (Yes I bawled the whole
way down)
We did have a super fun snow day after though!
Like I said snow is gorgeous.
Payton man has grown like a weed. He has a vocabulary like
you wouldn't imagine. I have no idea where he picks up some things
he says but if any person or the tv (or even a book) has said it he repeats it!
So a day after returning from Texas, unfortunately, I had to have a wisdom
tooth and an abscessed tooth both pulled on the same side. Thankfully I had to be put out for the procedure but the after effects were still pretty rough. My mouth was super swollen for
about a week afterwards, and I couldn't eat for about two days.
After being cooped up in the house for those few days I had to get out. And
when there is two feet of snow outside the only place to go is the mall. haha. But
thats ok with Payton because he could ride the escalators all day long!
Payton is finally starting to "adjust" (I say that lightly) to the
nursery at church. He was so proud of his "Jesus book" he made last week!
And I am so proud to have a great little boy who loves to learn about his savior!
On Thursday, Payton had his first official play date. Yes, this was his very first time to stay with ANYONE except grandparents. I was a little on edge being at work but Chad had a dentist appt so it was the perfect opportunity. We have made a few great friends here all which have lots of kids! One of our closed friends The Thorpes have four kids who Payton asks to go see every single day. haha. He loves playing with his friends so much and they are such great kids. I'm going to be so sad if they move away!
One of the benefits to living here is there is so much more outside things to do (when there aren't any blizzards planned haha). Chad took Payton to the park a few days to ride his bike and feed the geese and Payton loves it. He tells me every move they made when I get home from work. And I love hearing about it!
